Welcome to FlashLan (闪电传), including but not limited to the Android, iOS, HarmonyOS, and desktop apps (collectively, the “Product” or “we”). We take your privacy seriously. Please read this Policy carefully before using the Product.
Operator: Beijing Jingxi Technology Co., Ltd.
Questions: email flashlan@aiaox.com or use the developer contact on the store listing.
1. How We Collect and Use Information
The Product transfers files and text on a local network you trust. Transfers happen between your device and the peer you choose. There is no account, and we do not upload your files to our cloud.
1.1 Information You Provide
| Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Files, photos, videos, text, or app packages you choose to send | Transfer them to the peer device you select |
| Messages you send by email | Handle inquiries, complaints, and feedback |
1.2 Device and Permission-Related Information
| Permission / capability | When it is used |
|---|---|
| Local network / Wi‑Fi state | Discover devices on the same LAN and establish transfers |
| Multicast | Announce and discover nearby devices. We do not use this for location tracking or ads |
| Nearby devices / location (OS may require) | On Android 12+, multicast discovery may require Nearby devices or location permission. We use it only for LAN discovery, not for maps, tracking, or ads |
| Local Network (iOS) | Discover and connect to devices on the same LAN |
| Photos / media (read) | Pick images or videos to send |
| Photos / media (write) | Only if you enable Save to Photos: write received images and videos to the system album |
| Storage / file access | Pick files to send; save received files to a folder you choose |
| Installed apps | Only on Android when you use Send app: read app names and icons on this device to display and package them. Not uploaded to our servers |
| Camera | Only when you use scan-to-send, to read a QR code |
| Clipboard | Read text only when you tap paste, so you can send it |
We do not request sensitive permissions unrelated to these features without telling you and obtaining any required authorization.
1.3 Information Stored on This Device
To provide the Product, we may process and keep on this device:
- Device name, LAN IP, and port
- Local paths of transferred files
- Preferences (Turbo, auto-save, Save to Photos, Save to history, language)
- Favorited or verified nearby devices (on-device only)
- Transfer summaries if you enable Save to history (can be turned off or cleared anytime)
These stay on the device by default for the feature itself. They are not uploaded to our servers as an account profile.
1.4 What We Do Not Collect
- No sign-in is required. We do not require your name, phone number, or ID number.
- We do not run a cloud library of your transfers. Files only move between your device and the peer.
- We do not use LAN discovery data for ads, analytics, or sale to unrelated third parties.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Product may use on-device storage such as DataStore to remember settings and history. We do not use these for undisclosed tracking. This website page uses only what is needed for display and navigation.
3. Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties. We may share or disclose information only when:
- You give clear consent;
- Required by law or a competent authority;
- Necessary to protect users, the public, or our legitimate rights;
- You start a transfer: the peer receives the content you chose to send. That is the Product itself, not a sale or unrelated share by us.
4. Security
Transfers use an encrypted connection by default. You can turn on Turbo in Settings, which disables transfer encryption for speed. Use Turbo only on a home or fully trusted LAN.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including least privilege and on-device preferences. No LAN or internet product is perfectly secure. Send only to devices you have confirmed, and keep your device secure.
5. Your Rights
Where applicable law allows, you may:
- Access, correct, or delete on-device history and settings (via Settings, History, or clearing app data);
- Deny or revoke local network, photos, nearby-devices, and similar system permissions;
- Turn off optional features such as Save to Photos and history;
- Stop using the Product;
- Contact us by email for inquiries or complaints.
6. Children
If you are a minor, please read this Policy and use the Product under a guardian’s guidance. We do not knowingly collect minors’ personal information for unrelated purposes.
7. Third-Party Services
Content you send reaches the peer you choose. If Save to Photos is on, images and videos are written to the system album. App-store distribution follows the corresponding platform rules. Those parties have their own policies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
8. Updates
We may update this Policy and post the new dates on this page and in the Product. Material changes will be highlighted more prominently. Continued use means you acknowledge the update.
